If you think this is a joke, then you might want to stop reading now.

Where: http://www.borgamers.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2724&start=0

what: my thread got locked for a miss-understanding of rules.

My dispute: The proboard rules state "# User's web site may not contain content promoting the use of illegal drugs, alcohol, sex, pornography, nudity, or any other form of adult content, profanity, hate, "spam," fraud, racism, mlm, pyramid schemes, or promote any illegal activity. "

In there it states promoting illegal activity.

#1 the picture i posted did not contain any complete URL from any website that promotes illegal activity.

#2 The website domain that you could piece apart in the picture has many valuable used, not all for piracy.

#3 There is the possibility that my disk of Nero 8 went corrupt, but my CD key was still valid. There is nothing at all promoting illegal use of anything.

Some people that read the post might have decided that i was stealing a copy of Nero, but you are wrong. It is a Nero Trial version that can be downloaded by anyone at:

http://www.nero.com/eng/downloads-nero8-trial.php

I am sorry if you think that I was conducting an illegal operation but that would be an assumption by you. As a matter of fact, torrenting the free file is LEGAL, and a FASTER way to download Nero.

What comes out of this? Imagine it was Friendly Fire Friday, and i was shooting a Redeemer. If my team mate jumps in front of the reedemer and an admin assumed i aimed it at my team, that was an assumption and if i got kicked for it the kick would be unjustifiable.

Im not trying to make a problem here.... but it goes to show that there is no promotion of illegal activity since everything i did was 100% legal, every website and program used was 100% legal.

Thank You for your time reading this post. If you wish to lock it or respond it is up to you. If you wish to delete the post i only ask that Filak gets to read it first.

The pirate bay is 100% illegal and the only reason it is still open is because it is not located in the United States or other country w/ anti-piracy laws. It is also a well know piracy site and it doesn't help that the site's name is "The Pirate Bay." I was nice and replied via pm but well...since opened a new thread to do what i was trying to prevent; even if the file you were downloading was legal i bet i can find 20 for that version of nero that are not legal on tpb. In fact, me being civil and just trying to protect the RG forums from deletion was the only reason I locked the thread and left it in that section instead of removing it. Next time please ask me via pm if you have questions about a decision I made.

p.s. I will not lock this thread as it would seem "as if the admin is saying... 'IM right YOUR wrong, and there is nothing you can do about it.'"
