Ok kiddos, gather 'round the campfire, get a cup of cocoa and settle in. It's story time.
Once there was an idea that was Rome - Er, Reborn Gamers. In the beginning there was JimStar, Saga and Filak613. They used to play alot of Renegade with one another and a few other games that shouldn't be mentioned in public. One bright and sunny day in March of 2006 the first steps of Reborn Gamers were taken when the Renegade server came online. The Three Blind Mice threw together a forum for the "Brotherhood of Ren" clan and they didn't look back.
During an alcohol induced epiphany it was decided that the community should expand beyond the constraints of just one game. Filak set up an Unreal Tournament 2004 Onslaught server giving Saga a brilliant idea (Yes, those autistic kids certainly can be savants at times).
"Let's create a grand community of gamers. Not a gaming clan, but something akin to a gaming clan for all clans. A place where anyone that wasn't an asshat could call home ... As was foretold in the prophecy.", said Saga and there was a loud clap of thunder or Filak blew a ram's horn or some other dramatic effect. (... I wasn't there ... gimmie a break, ok?)
Here they were with "borforums" already set up. "Brotherhood of Ren" didn't make much sense now that the community hosted more than just Renegade. What else could the "BoR" be used for? Very fitting that the 2nd life of the Three Little Pigs would be "Reborn Gamers".
A community was born. A community of gamers. By gamers. For gamers.
After a short while it became obvious that the Onslaught server would never compete with what was already out there. It was converted to Assault. Nachos & Beer quickly became popular due to a rotation of unique maps that promoted teamwork such as the CommandConquer series, Dust and Office. The combination of regular updates to these popular maps, consistent administration and the best players in the game eventually placed Nachos & Beer in the top five of all UT2k4 servers, where it's since set up permanent residence.
The Trinity's roots in Renegade aren't forgotten. Reborn assists in the development of Renegade-X by hosting beta servers and tapping the Reborn Gamers community for beta testers.
There was strife, struggle and many trials along the way but the idea took root and grew. Today the community hosts the most popular servers for a variety of games and gametypes and is a home away from home for people of all ages. Big or small, short or tall, 16 to 60 ... all are welcome here.
Welcome to Reborn Gamers where it's more than a game, it's a lifestyle.
